Haven Ministries Support

The Crabby Pickleball Club is partnering with Haven Ministries Emergency Food Pantry to provide much needed goods to those in need in Queen Annes County.

Emergency food pantries are available to the residents of Queen Anne’s County and are provided in partnership with the Maryland Food Bank as well as community members and groups who purchase and collect food. Approximately 15,000 – 20,000 pounds of food is distributed to about 200 families every month.

Below is a list of their most needed items:

  • toiletries — toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, baby wipes, cleaning products, laundry and dish detergent, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner

  • food — cereal is a very popular item here, and snack foods (such as multi packs of chips, snacks, crackers, apple sauce). Quick eat meals, like tuna or chicken on the go (the kind of things that you can grab and eat are really popular). Drinks like juices and Ensure usually go pretty quickly (multi-packs are great because we break them up, and they help more people).

You can bring your donation items to the Flaherty Spring Fling event at Mowbray Park on March 16. A bin will be provided to collect your donations.

Below is a QR code to Haven's Amazon Wishlist. If you want to donate directly to the shelter/food pantry, you can scan, buy, and send items from the list.
