Good afternoon, Here are 2 of the many topics we discussed at our most recent board meeting of which you should be aware: Ladders: our 1st spring & last fall ladders will start at 6:30pm. Our 2 summer ladders will begin at 7pm. This allows for more court availability to non-ladder players (and the public) during the busiest summer months. We anticipate May 12th to be the next date for purchasing a spot in the 2nd ladder round, which will run 6 weeks, May 27th -July 3rd. We track everyone’s signups and will be contacting those who did not get to play separately to be sure they have an opportunity to play if they chose to do so….one of the many attributes of PB Den. Hour Hour: will be renamed First Friday Social (and play). QAC Parks & Rec has agreed to provide the club insurance for these events, since they are open to the public. We did not feel it appropriate to advertise them using terminology that is typically associated with alcohol consumption……which is technically prohibited at Mowbray. Pickleball Den: If you are participating in a ladder, please be sure you have your notification settings on in the Den. All emails from the Den will go into your “Timeline” in the Den. If you enable “in-app notifications” it will text you when there is a new entry. You can, of course, check the “receive club email” box as well. We try not to email unnecessarily & we will not send you advertisements.
