Good morning, It is that time of the year again when we approach our annual meeting, making it a time to think about the direction of the CPC club and the officers who will guide us. Please give some thought to how you want the club to move forward and who could best help lead. Elections will be held in the fall, and this year we will be voting on the Vice President, Treasurer and one Member-at-large position. Please consider running, especially if you have suggestions, ideas and/or skills or experience you want to share. All our board members, past and present, make up a great group who are very invested in and dedicated to the club’s success. General knowledge of pickleball is helpful in executing these positions but being a tournament player or coach is not required. What is valued is a passion for our pickleball community and for the growth of our sport. Below are the descriptors, from our By-Laws, of each available position. Vice President: assumes the duties of the President in the case of absence or incapacity and will assist the President in such manner as the President determines. Treasurer: acts as custodian of all Club funds, collects dues and other remittances, maintains bank accounts, disburses funds, maintains an up-to-date Membership list, submits required tax filings in a timely manner and provides financial reports at monthly Board meetings. Members-at-large: shall assist Board officers in achieving Club goals and effecting policies and/or decisions made by the Board. Each Member-At-Large will have one vote on Board business. CPC is blessed with a large pool of talented members. Please consider how you or someone you know can help our club move forward by joining the Board. More information regarding elections will be coming but, in the meantime, think about running yourself or nominating someone else.
