Good afternoon, Please take the time to explore our website, Crabby Pickleball Club, particularly your personal account, where you can access all our prior emails. The “New Members 2024” is a helpful page that we send to new members upon joining….includes all our TR codes, storage bin codes and other useful information for everyone. Here is what we have happening in April. April 1st-May 8th: Ladders start. The initial 6-week, evening Ladders will be from 6:30-8:30pm Mon, Tues & Wed. The Wed morning Ladder (M) is 9:00-11:00am. The next round will start May 27. We do plan to change the format for each 6-week, evening session to keep it fresh and interesting. We also will re-evaluate the start time as we get into the summer; the courts become more crowded and it stays lighter longer. Information on signups will be out as we get closer to the end of the first round. We are exited to see that we have grown to over 100 players participating in our ladders this spring. April 5th, 6-8pm: Crabby Happy Hour celebrating National Caramel Day! Bring a caramel-themed dish and play with us under the lights. Happy Hours are public, open-play events. The whiteboard is used to manage play. April 8th, 5-8pm: Joola demo day with Dave Haber. Learn about Joola paddle technology & try-before-you-buy. More information can be found here: Joola Demo Day April 20th, 8-9am: Cardio Pickleball April 20th, 2-3:30pm: Pickleball 101 April 20th, 3:30-5pm: Pickleball 201 All of the April 20th events are free-to-members and signup can be accessed at: Chesapeake Pickleball. We are working on a more formalized, clinic schedule and are hoping to start this in May. We would like provide periodic offerings at all levels. Please remember that this club is still in its infancy and is staffed by volunteers. Your patience is appreciated. Pickleball Den: Your subscription to this website is now included with your club membership! Many of our events are managed on Pickleball Den. If you are participating in a ladder, please be sure you have your notification settings on in the Den so you can receive up-to-date information automatically. Here is a short tutorial on adjusting your settings in the Den: Pickleball Den Settings CPC TeamReach access: Please download the TeamReach app, if you haven’t already. It is such a great communication tool, with a calendar feature so you can notify others that you are playing. It is also a good place for spontaneous drill events to be posted. You can message individual members directly, as well as the whole membership. Our private group code: info-CPC. Please feel free to use this method of communicating about pickleball or anything else that is relevant to our community. There are also public codes available for Mowbray, Grasonville, NewCrabs & players who prefer singles.
