Good Morning, We are excited to have had 111 players participating in 4 different leagues this past round. (Please be aware that we use the terms ladder & league interchangeably. They basically mean the same thing….organized play, usually resulting in a ranking in some manner.) Here is the latest info on our ladder/league play: Pickleball Den: All members are provided a subscription to the website, Pickleball Den, which we will use to manage league scheduling, through the fall. If this is your first time participating in a league, you will need to “create” an account and password in PB Den using the email you provided us when you joined. Please be sure you have your notifications settings “on” in the Den. We try to only email when necessary and we will not send you advertisements. Ladder/league registration/payment ($10/ 6 weeks) is done through your account on our website. Sign into your account and “purchase” a Ladder in the Digital Products/Pages menu. After your payment on our site, you will then go to the PB Den site to access your ladder/league’s schedule. We receive immediate notification of your payment but we need a little time to add you to your league’s roster in PB Den. If, after 24hours, you do not see your event’s signup sheets when you go into PB Den, please let us know. You may only buy 1 “ladder-spot” initially but we will allow additional purchases after everyone who wishes to participate has had a reasonable time to do so. Next Ladder/league Round: July 22nd-Aug 26th. Ladder/league “purchase” will open July 8th, 9am. Please be aware that these are planned, competitive events and signing up is a commitment to play. Finding players at the last minute is what burns out organizers. Cancelling inside 24 hours of play should be for emergencies only and must be done by notifying your Captain. A “no-show/no-notice” player will be subject to removal from his/her league. If you have questions regarding your most appropriate ladder/league placement, please contact our Head Pro Dave Haber. We lease courts 6-10, Mon-Fri. from 9am-11am & 6:30pm-8:30pm and run a variety of events during those times. Arriving 15 minutes in advance of your event is requested as the Captains need to check players in. Monday Social League: 6:30pm. Our highest level of competition. MLP format will continue. This league starts at 6:30pm to allow time to complete the event. Captained by Dave & Abby. Tuesday Social League: 7:00pm. Intermediate level play. Luck-of-the-Draw will continue with random court assignments, timed games but with regular scoring this time. Players move up & down with each game, based on their scores; however, scores do not carry over to the next week. Captained by Marguerite. Wednesday Morning League: 9:00am. Mixed-level play for seasoned players. This event will continue to be managed on PB Den with court assignments being determined by the previous week’s results. Cell phones are used on court to record scores. This is not for beginner players who are still learning the scoring, positioning & rules of the game. Captained by Wendy Q. Wednesday Evening League: 7:00pm. Our beginner/novice league, also referred to as New Crabs. Play is managed through PB Den, using your cell phone on the court to record scores. We may have more advanced, “guest” players participating to assist newer players with learning strategy…….and managing PB Den on their phones. Captained by Lena & Cindy English.
