Good Morning, These first 2 years, getting the club started, has been quite an adventure, especially since this sport is growing so rapidly. Now it is time to think about how we want to move forward and who specifically should do that. Elections will be in the fall and we will be voting on a President, Secretary and 2 Member-at-large positions. Please consider running for a spot, especially if you have suggestions or other directions you feel the club should be going. The current president and secretary do not intend to run but will certainly stay involved to assist with transitioning. All our board members, past and present, are very invested in and dedicated to the club’s success. General knowledge of pickleball is helpful in executing these positions but being a tournament player or coach is not required. What is required is a passion for our pickleball community and for the growth of our sport. Below are the descriptors, from our bylaws, of each available position. President: will manage and direct CPC’s operations, preside at Membership and Board meetings and act as CPC’s spokesperson. Secretary: will notify the Membership of all Membership meetings, take minutes of Membership and Board meetings, determine whether a required quorum exists and keep records of CPC correspondence. The Secretary will also assist in maintaining the membership roster and new member information. Members-at-large: shall assist Board officers in achieving Club goals and effecting policies and/or decisions made by the Board. Each Member-At-Large will have one vote on Board business. We have a large pool of talent amongst our members, please consider how you can help our club move forward.
